Sodium bicarbonate is water soluble, environmentally friendly, suitable for open blasting applications where reduced operating dust levels and ease of waste disposal are essential.

FUNCTION:
Typical applications include: Cleaning of plant machinery prior to maintenance, removal of paint from locomotives, cars, trucks etc., degreasing of metal vats in food production industry. It will not damage glass, fibreglass or parts like seal, bearings, shafts, pumps, etc.
Sodium bicarbonate breaks down hydrocarbons, which makes soda blasting an excellent method of cleaning engines, engine parts, and other areas where oil and grease are present. Sodium bicarbonate can act as a rust inhibitor, which will leave a protective coating on the surface being cleaned. This allows for time to pass before the surface has to be painted.
